Chianti Classico DOCG
Chianti Classico on the one hand: the history, the prestige, the value of one of the most famous wine areas in the country; the Maremma on the other, the new frontier of viticulture in Tuscany, extended up to touch the Tyrrhenian coast. The two souls of the Sant'Ilario selection, whose name takes its cue from the homonymous farm surrounded by vineyards in the upper part of the Radda in Chianti area, combine in the spirit that characterizes the range: interpreting the different places from which the original grapes. Cultivated with vines since 1600, it is also interesting for the homonymous church nearby, with an original structure dating back to the end of the 15th century.
Brilliant ruby red with garnet reflections.
Fine and elegant, with typical scents of violets, small red fruits and light spicy notes.
Full, with good structure and persistence, with a personality that fully expresses the character of Sangiovese.
Sant'Ilario Chianti Classico enhances pasta dishes with meat sauces, roasts, braised meats and grilled meats such as the typical Florentine steak, as well as well-aged cheeses.
The grapes are vinified according to the traditional method of fermentation in the presence of the skins which lasts for about 10 days at a temperature of 28° C. Once the malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine ages for 6 months in Slavonian oak barrels and another 4 months in the bottle.
