Gadais Pere et Fils
Muscadet Domaine de Tourmaline, sur lie
Saint-Fiacre boasts a terroir blessed by the gods, though you won't find any precious stones here. However, these rocky hillsides covered with vines have given birth to a veritable jewel of the appellation: the Domaine de la Tourmaline.
For 4 generations, Louis, Michel, Marcel and now Christophe GADAIS have produced the very best Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine wines. Produced from grapes grown on the renowned terroirs of Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine, La Haye-Fouassière and Vertou, our Muscadets are harvested, aged and vinified according to our family's savoir-faire.

100% Melon de Bourgogne. Lovely ripe pear and melon aromatics and flavours. Excellent spritz. Characterful Muscadet with an attractive touch of bitterness on the long finish. Score - 91. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2019).
A light spritz in this wine teases the tongue and adds an extra layer of texture. With its apple and citrus flavors, the wine is perfumed and ready to drink. ROGER VOSS Score: 91/100
Love this Muscadet with ripe pear, green apple, dried floral and melon flavours creamy and spritzy on the palate. Slightly Beady thanks to its aging in its lees. This Muscadet goes wonderfully well with poultry, salads Thai and Chinese cuisine
Grown between the Sèvre and the Maine on the hillsides of Saint Fiacre, "Domaine de la Tourmaline" is produced by some one hundred plots cultivated in accordance with sustainable agricultural methods.
Rooted in two-mica gneiss soils, the vines are around forty years old and produce wonderfully sound harvests.
Cold static must settling is carried out during 12 hours. Carefully selected yeasts are used for fermentation (usually 3 weeks at 18° to 20°C). This Muscadet is then aged on its lees in vats during 6 months. Traditional "on lees" maturing results in a fresh, rich wine.
