Tandem (plot collection Tandem)
Although all Tandem wines are plot wines, in this collection the objective is to produce wines from small, old and unique vineyards.
Jancis Robinson Review - July 2021 - Single vineyard of less than 1 ha of Garnacha vines around 80 years old, in the village of Lacar in La Tierra Estella. Manual harvest.
Spontaneous fermentation in a small 1,000-litre stainless-steel vat. Careful manual pumpovers. Malolactic conversion in French oak barrels.
8 months’ ageing. Production only 794 bottles.
Bodegas Tandem is the personal project of Alicia Eyaralar and José María Fraile.
Tasted blind. I can see that they are really playing with the ripeness level of the fruit, but in a precise and exemplary way.
Marvellous, pleasant fruit sensation, round texture and noble depth. This wine has an extra layer of fruit, with a mineral earthy and forest-floor touch.
Complexity, tastiness, in a context of elegance.
Quite a remarkable bottle of wine. (FC) 14%
Drink 2021 – 2028
Red ruby color with a purple rim. In the nose we highlight its red fruit, currant, rosemary, lavender and fennel. Vibrant in the palate, fresh, mineral.
Overall a mountain, savory, elegant and distincitve wine very moving to us.
Pairs well with casseroles, lamb, red meat, game, poultry, cheese.
With this wine a new line is born that we have named Colección Parcelas
